Customer Business Problem

Our customer was seeking a solution to provide additional support to their employees’ working in-field in remote locations.

The customer decided to purchase fobs through their IVMS (In Vehicle Management System) provider and wanted to alter the lone worker process for employees to allow check-ins via the fob instead of over the phone.

Solution

The NRC altered the existing lone worker process to register how an employee could check in for the day on the first check-in (this continues to be via phone).

Employees using fobs are then monitored by the NRC IVMS. NRC could view who checks in via the IVMS system and then re-sets the check-in time accordingly.

Outcomes + Benefits

Those employees with fobs in more remote locations could stay connected and protected without the stress of connectivity.

This provided reassurance for employees in the field that if they are ‘man down’ or don’t check-in whilst in these remote locations someone (that being NRC) is aware and will escalate the appropriate response. In addition, the business could rest assured that its staff members were safe at all times.
